Artslam day 4

“This is the most boring business meeting we’ve ever had. I wonder if I could move lunch to 10:00.”

Soooo I already missed a day of artslam. That’s pretty fail. Plus I’m making up this entry on the fourth of June. But look, pictures of my blissey amigurumi!

Now I gotta go draw some stuff.
EDIT: Artslam sketch for today:

Day 1 of Artslam. One of the characters in the story I’m focusing on for Artslam lives in a fantasy tower of some sort. I want the tower to be in sharp contrast to the plush mansion it is situated next to but beyond that I’m not sure how I want it to look, so I doodled whatever came to mind.

Sometimes I look at my really, really old drawings and wish that I could show my younger self my more recent ones. Then I realize that my fourteen or fifteen year old self would be disappointed that I don’t draw much anime anymore. Back then I loved anime and manga so much, I thought I’d never want to stop trying to learn to draw that way. I’d read DeviantArt journal posts or things like that where people would be all “I need to learn to draw something other than anime if I want to have a career in art” and I would always go “Whyyyy??? Noooooo, don’t do that!!” Apparently I didn’t understand that people’s interests change.
Then again, I also thought that Fushigi Yuugi was well written back then, so it figures.
